| AMES Digital Solution Document-Capture Hardware
AMES Digital Solution (ADS) components are an important part of the imaging process and meet HIPAA compliance. You can use ADS as a stand-alone system or on the network.
ADS software is designed to operate with a multitude of storage media to provide open versatility required in today's technological market.
Scanned images are converted to standard TIFF files. Images can then be viewed on your existing workstations. The images are stored on RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) servers. RAID systems improve performance by letting you access data instantly through your facility's file server while storing millions of documents/images -- all at a fraction of the cost of other storage media.
Purging or archiving data is not necessary because RAID devices can store virtually limitless scanned documents. And by using a Storage Area Network (SAN), RAID devices can be linked for limitless capacity. All documents/images that have been scanned into the system or downloaded from another system are available instantly and securely. Also, because RAID devices use redundant technology, they reduce the loss of data caused by hardware failure. RAID storage technology is an important component to the AMES Digital Solution.
